The most analytically useful frame is that chip stocks are likely in a consolidation phase measured in weeks rather than days or months, absent a significant new negative development. The underlying demand data, as TSMC will demonstrate Thursday, is inconsistent with a bear market thesis. The macro and geopolitical headwinds are real but are not structural challenges to the AI infrastructure buildout. When the headwinds ease, whether through diplomacy, inflation data, or simply the passage of time and earnings confirmation, the gap between fundamental value and current prices will compress.
