The standard version uses either a BYD Blade Battery or a CATL battery, with these two types being installed randomly. The customer has no option to choose the battery type when purchasing the vehicle. Meanwhile, both the Pro and Max versions are exclusively equipped with CATL batteries.
Further inquiry was made by contacting BYD’s customer service center, as found on the official website. When asked whether the vehicle involved in the incident used a BYD battery, the representative responded that such information is not available through the customer service department.
They suggested that the issue should be addressed by the battery supplier directly, although they noted that the battery manufacturer does not typically handle direct customer inquiries. The representative assured that the concern would be reported, and further feedback would be provided later.
