AsianFin -- South Korea will begin a trial visa-free entry program for Chinese group tourists (three or more people) starting September 29, allowing stays of up to 15 days, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The policy was jointly announced by South Korea’s Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Office for Government Policy Coordination. Under the initiative, Chinese group travelers who book their trips through government-designated travel agencies will be eligible for visa-free entry until June 30, 2026. Tourists are required to use the same airline or ship for both entry and exit.
To prepare for the program, relevant authorities will notify travel agencies of the new guidelines between September 8 and 19, with the registration process for designated travel agencies beginning on September 15.
