NextFin News — Hangzhou-based artificial intelligence startup Beilian Zhuguan has secured over RMB 100 million ($13.8 million) in a Series A financing round led by Alibaba Cloud.
HSG, formerly known as Sequoia China, and Vision Plus Capital over-subscribed as returning investors in the fundraise. Founded in 2021 by former Alibaba Group technology executive Bi Xuan, Beilian Zhuguan develops AI-native site reliability engineering tools designed to deliver automated, "L4" autonomous IT operations management. Its primary product, SREAgent, leverages large language models, autonomous software agents, and operational telemetry to provide continuous system monitoring, automated fault diagnostics, and workload optimization. The company plans to deploy the fresh capital toward expanding core technical research and accelerating commercial adoption across enterprise cloud environments.
Enterprise interest in domain-specific artificial intelligence agents is accelerating as Chinese cloud providers and software vendors seek to transition from general-purpose large models to task-oriented automation. Traditional site reliability engineering remains constrained by human oversight costs, complex multi-cloud architectures, and incident response latency. Strategic investments from hyperscalers like Alibaba Cloud signal a broader industry shift toward embedding autonomous agent frameworks directly into cloud infrastructure stacks to reduce operational expenditures and enhance system uptime for corporate clients.
