AsianFin – Alibaba Cloud's Tongyi team has announced the open-sourcing of its latest long-text processing model, Qwen2.5-1M, which supports a 1-million-token context. The release includes two model sizes, 7B and 14B, along with an open-source inference framework that offers up to 7x faster processing for million-token inputs.
The 1-million-token capability translates to handling content equivalent to 10 full-length novels, 150 hours of speech transcripts, or 30,000 lines of code.
This advancement positions Qwen2.5-1M as a significant breakthrough in processing large-scale textual data efficiently, making it a valuable tool for applications in research, creative writing, and software development.
