AsianFin -- AliExpress, the cross-border e-commerce platform under Alibaba, has announced its plans to further expand its support for local currency payments in Africa.
Following its integration of mobile payment options like Kenya's M-Pesa, Nigeria's Opay, and Verve Bank cards last year, AliExpress will extend its local currency payment coverage to several African countries starting in February. This includes Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Uganda.
