China Alleges Improper Conduct by PVH in Xinjiang Investigation

AsianFin -- China’s Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday that PVH Corp, the parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, has been found to have engaged in "improper" conduct related to the Xinjiang region. The ministry did not provide further details about the nature of the alleged misconduct.

A statement from the ministry revealed plans to summon PVH representatives in the near future to address the findings.

The investigation, launched in September, is focused on suspected violations of market trading principles involving Xinjiang-related products. The region has been a focal point of global scrutiny due to allegations of forced labor and human rights abuses, with companies facing pressure to ensure their supply chains are free from such practices.

PVH has yet to issue a public response to the ministry’s preliminary findings.
