NextFin News — China’s National Energy Administration said Monday that the country’s electric-vehicle charging infrastructure totaled 23.683 million units, or “guns,” at the end of July, up 41.9 percent from a year earlier.
Public charging facilities numbered 5.099 million, a 21.3 percent increase, with combined rated power of 255 million kilowatts and an average of about 49.97 kilowatts per gun. Private charging facilities reached 18.584 million, up 48.8 percent, with reported installed electricity capacity of 160 million kilovolt-amperes.
The figures come from the national charging-infrastructure monitoring and service platform. The expansion continues to support the rapid growth of China’s electric-vehicle fleet.
