AsianFin -- China will launch investigations into U.S. government subsidies for the semiconductor sector at the request of the country's mature node chip industry, the commerce ministry announced on Thursday.
According to the ministry, China's chip industry claims that substantial U.S. subsidies have given American companies an unfair competitive edge. Additionally, the U.S. export of mature node chip products to China at low prices has been said to harm the rights and interests of China's domestic industry.
