China urges all parties to immediately cease military actions, avoid escalation of tensions, maintain the safety of the shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz, and prevent greater impacts on the global economy.
She made the comments in reponse to a question regarding reports that China is pressuring Iranian officials to refrain from actions that could disrupt Qatar's natural gas exports and other cargo transport through the Strait of Hormuz.
