AsianFin – Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global has launched an overseas ride-hailing aggregation service on its domestic app, allowing users in eight countries to access local platforms such as Grab and Kakao T. The move comes as Didi’s international business turns profitable, the company said on Saturday.
The service enables Chinese users traveling in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam to book rides via Didi's app, which integrates local operators.
Separately, Didi is expanding its instant delivery services in Latin America, targeting local e-commerce merchants alongside existing supermarket and grocery delivery operations in markets such as Brazil.
