AsianFin -- Shipments of foreign-branded smartphones, including Apple’s iPhone, in China dropped sharply by 47.4% year-on-year in November, according to data released on Friday by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), a government-affiliated research institute.
The report revealed that foreign smartphone shipments in China declined to 3.04 million units in November, a significant decrease from 5.769 million units during the same period last year.
Overall, the domestic smartphone market also experienced a downturn, with total shipments falling 5.1% year-on-year to 29.61 million units for the month.
