Schmidt, who has a diverse portfolio of investments and philanthropic ventures, has been supporting the company since last year, the sources said, speaking anonymously as they were not authorized to discuss the investment publicly. Relativity Space had encountered difficulties in raising funds in 2024, as previously reported by Bloomberg.
