AsianFin -- JD Delivery has announced that it has signed formal labor contracts with more than 10,000 full-time delivery riders and is progressively implementing the payment of social insurance and housing funds for them.
The company will cover all costs associated with these benefits, including the portion typically paid by employees, ensuring that riders' take-home pay remains unaffected. This policy applies to both existing and newly recruited riders.
Since its official launch on February 11, JD Delivery has expanded its services to 126 cities across China and partnered with over 400,000 high-quality dine-in restaurants. Consumers can access the service through the "Quality Delivery" entry on the homepage of the JD App to place orders.
The initiative highlights JD's commitment to improving labor rights and welfare for its delivery workforce while continuing to grow its food delivery business nationwide.
