Mattel to Raise U.S. Toy Prices Amid Soaring Tariff Costs

AsianFin -- Mattel Inc., the maker of Barbie dolls, Hot Wheels cars and other iconic toys, announced on Monday that it will raise prices on select products sold in the United States "where necessary" to offset increased costs tied to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.

The El Segundo, California-based company said the decision comes despite its efforts to accelerate diversification of its manufacturing operations away from China. The move follows Trump’s imposition of a 145% tariff on most Chinese-made goods.
