Although no final accession date has been set, the Romanian government has set an ambitious goal to finalize membership in 2026.
Cormann stated that accession to the OECD will bring substantial benefits to Romania, including improved governance, access to best practices, increased investor confidence, and support for public reform agendas, ultimately contributing to higher living standards for the Romanian people.
