Tesla's January Sales in Europe Plunge 45.2% Despite Surge in EV Demand

AsianFin -- The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) released new data revealing a significant drop in Tesla’s sales in Europe.

In January, the electric vehicle (EV) giant registered just 9,945 new cars across the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and the UK—marking a 45.2% year-on-year decline from 18,161 units in January of the previous year.

Despite Tesla's sales slump, the overall demand for electric vehicles in these markets saw a strong increase, with the total number of pure electric vehicle registrations rising by 37.4% to reach 166,065 units.
