AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday to authorize the release of additional files related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
“That’s a big one. A lot of people have been waiting for this for years, even decades,” Trump said while signing the order in the Oval Office.
After signing, Trump gestured toward the pen, saying, “Give that to RFK Jr.,” referring to his pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, who is the son of the late attorney general and nephew of President Kennedy.
“All will be revealed,” he added, emphasizing the importance of transparency.
While many documents related to the JFK assassination have already been made public, including a set of 13,000 files released during President Biden’s administration, many remain redacted.
“Their families and the American people deserve transparency and truth. It is in the national interest to finally release all records related to these assassinations without delay,” the order said.
