NextFin news, Ukrainian defense forces, including units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard's 1st Azov Corps, liberated the village of Pankivka and adjacent territories from Russian forces on Monday on the Dobropillya front in Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine.
The operation was a result of coordinated efforts by Ukrainian units in the area of responsibility of the 1st Azov Corps, according to a statement published on the official Telegram channel of the Azov Corps and reported by Ukrainska Pravda and UNIAN news agencies.
The Russian military continues to reinforce its troop presence in the region. The Russian command has redeployed additional reserves to the area, including four infantry brigades and one marine regiment, aiming to strengthen its offensive capabilities against Ukrainian positions.
Ukrainian defense forces are actively working to halt the Russian advance and prevent any breach of their defensive lines on the Dobropillya front.
The village of Pankivka is strategically located in Donetsk Oblast, a key area of ongoing military operations between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
This development comes amid reports of Russia transferring more marine brigades to Donetsk Oblast to intensify pressure on Ukrainian units, as documented by UNIAN on recent troop movements.
