In commodities, oil rebounded after Monday’s sharp decline, with WTI crude up 15 cents at $80.49 a barrel and Brent crude up 98 cents at $84.75 a barrel, according to early global trading updates from AP. Gold traded near $4,080 an ounce as investors balanced stronger equity risk appetite against lingering geopolitical uncertainty. In foreign exchange, the dollar was firmer against the yen at about 157.80 yen, while the euro was little changed near $1.1513; the U.S. dollar index held around the upper-98 area.
