U.S. equity futures were mixed before the open, with value-oriented blue chips outperforming growth. Dow Jones futures rose 125 points, or 0.24%, to 52,953; S&P 500 futures added 3.5 points, or 0.05%, to 7,646.3; while Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 44.5 points, or 0.15%, to 29,081.0.
European equities traded lower across major benchmarks. The FTSE 100 fell 32.27 points, or 0.30%, to 10,757.01; France's CAC 40 declined 16.42 points, or 0.20%, to 8,285.43; and Germany's DAX dropped 124.51 points, or 0.48%, to 25,845.60.
In commodities, oil remained elevated as traders monitored supply risks tied to renewed U.S.-Iran hostilities. Brent crude was recently around $95.18 a barrel, up 0.6%, after settling Tuesday at $94.65; WTI crude traded near the $90 area after Tuesday's $90.22 settlement. Spot gold fell to about $4,302.20 an ounce, down 0.6%, while U.S. gold futures dropped 1.1% to $4,349.80.
