Xiaomi Enters South Korean Market With Plans for Physical Stores

AsianFin – Xiaomi has officially entered the South Korean market, announcing plans to roll out a range of products starting Wednesday, including smartphones, televisions, and robotic vacuum cleaners.

Xiaomi Korea hosted its first press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul’s Jongno District, outlining its business development strategy for the region. Initially, Xiaomi Korea will focus on online sales, gradually launching five product categories—smartphones, televisions, wearables, power banks, and robotic vacuum cleaners—through early February. Following this, the company plans to establish physical retail stores in South Korea.

However, Xiaomi has not announced plans to introduce its electric vehicles (EVs) to the South Korean market. Addressing this, Xiaomi Korea head Jony Wu stated that the company will prioritize the Chinese EV market over the next three years as part of its strategic focus.

This expansion marks a significant step in Xiaomi’s efforts to strengthen its global presence and diversify its market reach.
