AsianFin -- Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, shared a post from Xiaomi's Vice President of Automotive, Li Xiaoshuang, saying that the Xiaomi SU7's delivery volume exceeded that of the Tesla Model 3 last month.
In December 2024, the retail sales ranking for pure electric sedans in China showed the Xiaomi SU7 delivered 25,815 units, surpassing the 21,046 units of the Tesla Model 3.
Interestingly, the top three cars in the list were all budget models: BYD Seagull, Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, and Wuling Bingo. The Xiaomi SU7 and Tesla Model 3 were ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. Previously, following the announcement of the updated Tesla Model Y, Lei Jun had also shared the news with a simple “Good” in response.
