AsianFin -- BMW has unveiled its next-generation electric drive technology, including the "Cell to Pack" solution with 46/95 and 120 large cylindrical cells, as part of its "Pack to Open Body" technology.
BMW plans to first apply its new large cylindrical cells in the sixth-generation power batteries for upcoming models, including a new vehicle to be revealed this year and domestically produced models starting in 2026.
These cells will also be used in other electric vehicles, including future electric M models. BMW is working with Chinese suppliers such as CATL and EVE Energy to steadily push forward large-scale mass production of the new cylindrical cells.
