NextFin news, Egypt’s largest esports event, the Esports Summit (ESS), is set to return to Cairo on Thursday and Friday, October 9–10, 2025, at Hassan Mostafa Hall in 6th of October City, organisers announced on October 1, 2025.
The event, organised by FWZ, is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors onsite, with online content anticipated to reach more than 20 million viewers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The Esports Summit will feature live competitive matches, community activities, and new tournaments, with organisers promising surprises for attendees and online audiences alike.
Key partners for the 2025 edition include the Egyptian Football Association, the Egyptian Esports Federation, Red Bull, Samsung Electronics Egypt, and the streaming platform Watch It.
Samsung Electronics Egypt, a decade-long partner of FWZ, will serve as the exclusive mobile partner for the EAFC mobile title, marking Egypt’s first official tournament for the football mobile game. Red Bull will host the Red Bull Home Ground National Finals, while Watch It will be the exclusive streaming partner for the event.
Ahmed Abdellatif, chief executive of FWZ, stated that the scale of these partnerships reflects the growing recognition of the Esports Summit by global companies and major sports institutions in Egypt, highlighting its role in uniting the esports community.
Since its launch, the Esports Summit has rapidly grown, with previous editions drawing more than 15,000 attendees and tens of millions of online views. The organisers aim to position Cairo as a regional hub for competitive gaming.
Esports has gained significant traction in Egypt in recent years, with increasing involvement from both international companies and local sporting bodies. The support from the Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian Esports Federation signals a closer alignment between traditional sports and esports in the country.
