Elon Musk Calls for U.S. Government to 'Delete Entire Agencies'

AsianFin -- Elon Musk urged the U.S. government on Thursday to “delete entire agencies,” suggesting a complete overhaul of federal institutions.

Since taking leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency with President Donald Trump’s approval, Musk has taken significant control over various government functions. His actions have included sidelining career officials, accessing sensitive databases, and sparking a constitutional debate on presidential authority.

Musk made the remarks during the World Governments Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, wearing a black T-shirt that read “Tech Support.” He humorously referred to himself as the “White House's tech support,” a nod to his social media presence on the platform X, which he owns.

"I think we do need to delete entire agencies as opposed to leaving many of them behind," Musk said. “If we don’t remove the roots of the weed, it’s easy for the weed to grow back.”
