MOFCOM Issues Questionnaires for Sunset Review on Anti-Subsidy Measures for US Solar-Grade Polysilicon Imports

AsianFin -- China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) on Monday released a notice regarding the distribution of questionnaires for its sunset review investigation on anti-subsidy measures for US imports of solar-grade polysilicon.

This action follows the ministry’s decision in January to launch a sunset review on the countervailing duties imposed on solar-grade polysilicon from the US, in line with China’s countervailing duty regulations, as stated by MOFCOM.

The notice outlines that various stakeholders—including foreign exporters or producers, domestic producers, importers, and the government of the exporting country—are required to complete and submit the questionnaires by the specified deadlines.

Solar-grade polysilicon is the primary raw material used in the production of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.

MOFCOM had previously announced the initiation of the sunset review investigation on January 10, with the process set to begin on January 14, 2025.
