AsianFin -- Nestlé has dismissed Chief Executive Laurent Freixe with immediate effect following the revelation of a romantic relationship with a direct subordinate.
The Swiss consumer goods giant said a boardroom investigation concluded that Freixe, 63, had engaged in an “undisclosed romantic relationship” with a junior colleague.
Freixe, who joined Nestlé 40 years ago, had been appointed CEO just last September to help stabilize the company after a series of scandals.
