AsianFin -- Nippon Steel President Tadashi Imai announced on Tuesday that the company is set to begin discussions with the U.S. Department of Commerce in an effort to revive its bid to acquire U.S. Steel.
Imai explained that the previous merger agreement, which was blocked by former President Joe Biden’s administration, will serve as the foundation for the upcoming talks.
