AsianFin -- Nvidia Corp. has instructed Foxconn to pause work on its H20 artificial intelligence chip, the most advanced semiconductor the U.S. firm is allowed to sell in China, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., provides backend processing for the H20 as part of Nvidia’s supply chain.
“We constantly manage our supply chain to address market conditions,” Nvidia said in a statement, without offering further details.
