AsianFin -- Pakistan will dedicate 2,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity in the initial phase of a national strategy aimed at powering bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, the country’s finance ministry announced on Sunday.
The move is part of Islamabad’s broader plan to tap into its surplus electricity by supporting emerging tech industries, including cryptocurrency and AI infrastructure.
