NextFin news, Brazilian gun manufacturer Taurus will begin transferring the assembly line of its main product line, the G family pistols, to the United States starting in September 2025. This move follows the tariffs imposed by the US government on Brazilian goods.
According to a statement from Taurus, about 900 firearms out of the 2,100 daily produced in Brazil for the US market will be assembled in the United States. The company has been preparing for this transition since April by increasing its inventory of finished products in the US, currently maintaining approximately 90 days of stock.
Taurus also reported that it has anticipated exports of some parts and components to the US, especially weapon porters, aiming to advance 50% of these shipments. The company’s global executive president, Salesio Nuhs, stated that Taurus has taken multiple measures to mitigate the impact of the tariffs.
This relocation is part of Taurus's strategy to adapt to the new trade conditions and maintain its supply chain for the US market.
