The third-quarter earnings season for A-share companies has largely concluded, showing steady improvements in both revenue and profitability, with surging tech demand emerging as a key growth driver, according to industry research.
Net profit growth accelerated during the period, with aggregate single-quarter net profit for all A-share firms rising 11.6 percent year on year, China Merchants Securities said in a report. It added that single-quarter revenue growth for all A-shares also strengthened to 3.6 percent.
The brokerage attributed the profit expansion mainly to robust momentum in the technology sector, as the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) spurred strong demand across related industrial chains — particularly semiconductors, optical modules, and computing hardware.
