Tensions Between the U.S. and China Delay Apple’s AI Rollout in China

AsianFin -- Apple Inc.’s plans to introduce AI-powered features in its devices across China have hit a roadblock, as rising geopolitical tensions stall regulatory approvals.

According to the Financial Times, China’s Cyberspace Administration (CAC) is holding back approvals for AI services developed by Apple and its domestic partner Alibaba.

In China, all consumer-facing AI technologies require formal approval from the CAC, which has yet to greenlight the proposed applications.
