AsianFin - Tesla Inc. has officially renamed its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package to "Intelligent Assisted Driving Function" in China, while keeping the price unchanged at 64,000 yuan ($8,800), according to an update on the automaker's Chinese website Wednesday.
The rebranding comes as Tesla begins rolling out its 2024.45.32.12 software update, which significantly enhances urban driving capabilities for vehicles equipped with Hardware 4.0 and the FSD package. The update enables traffic light recognition at intersections, allowing for autonomous straight-through movements, left/right turns, and U-turns.
