Beijing Zhongguancun College and the Zhongguancun Institute of Artificial Intelligence have launched what they describe as the world’s first AI agent system covering the full training and development cycle for scientific researchers.
The system, called OmniScientist, was introduced at the International Conference on AI Scientists (ICAIS 2025). Built on “meta-science insights” and “digital scholar twins,” it is designed to analyse scientific logic, forecast emerging research trends and provide personalised support based on a researcher’s individual academic style.
The developers said the tool aims to address long-standing bottlenecks such as difficulty selecting research topics, disciplinary barriers and gaps between academia and industry, offering intelligent assistance across the entire research lifecycle.
In parallel, the “Northern Latitude Nobel Forum” was launched to bring together Nobel laureates, young scholars, entrepreneurs and scientists for sustained collaboration. Organisers said the forum seeks to foster intellectual exchange, innovation and talent development through long-term engagement.
